The Latest News from Blydyn Square Books
Spring Issue of Blydyn Square Review
Happy spring, and welcome to our second quarter newsletter! The latest issue of Blydyn Square Review is now live and we’re excited to announce it’s now free to read for everyone on our website.
In other big Blydyn Square Review news, we’re trying an experiment for our next issue. Usually, we’re super-selective about the pieces we choose to publish . . . which means our issues can be on the short side. For our next issue, we’re changing things up and trying an experiment:
We will open our submissions window for one hour between 12:00 and 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 29. Anything sent to submissions@blydynsquarebooks.com with the subject line “BSR Submission” during that time—regardless of theme, genre, or, yes, quality—will appear in our summer 2023 issue. (No attachments, please!)
Please spread the word to your writer (and visual artist) friends. We’re eager to get a wide variety of submissions for this experiment through which we hope to find out the answer to the perennial question: What’s more important—quality or quantity?
Kenilworth Street Fair
If you’ll be anywhere near the Kenilworth, New Jersey, area on Sunday, May 21, please stop by the annual street fair, being held on the Boulevard between 10:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
For the first time, Blydyn Square Books will be hosting a booth, and several of our authors—including Everett De Morier (author of Thirty-three Cecils and The Invention of Everything), Christine C. Heuner (author of Fifty-four Holly Lane), James Brian Kerr (author of The Long Walk Home), and even yours truly, Tara Tomczyk (author of Secrets Most Writers and Publishers Will Never Tell You) will be on hand to chat and sign books.
You can find more details about the street fair here. Hope to see you there!
Fifty-four Holly Lane Audiobook!
We’re thrilled to announce that our first-ever audiobook has been released! It’s the audio version of Christine C. Heuner’s novel Fifty-four Holly Lane. You can check it out here.

“Reality doesn’t always give us the life that we desire, but we can always find what we desire between the pages of books.”

Congratulations to Colleen, who won an Amazon gift card. The question was:
How often will the Blydyn Square Books newsletter now be published?
The answer: Quarterly
Now answer this:
What condition do you have if you are overly fond of flowers?
Send us your answer (info@blydynsquarebooks.com) and you’ll be entered in our prize drawing.
That’s it for now. See you next time!
